How about those argyles?

These buttons took FOREVER!

How gorgeous is Julie?

The stud himself.

The wedding ceremony was in a beautiful granary with a ton of character.

Yes this happened.

And so did this!

NORM!

This guy makes the blog on account of his ridiculously hip glasses.

This groomsmen recognizes he lost his phone during "How low can you go" and proceeds to check his voice mail.

This photograph documents the first ever Rain-ahey Train in America until proven otherwise.

WAIT FOR IT....

There is a term that I hear every once in a while called "living in the moment". I think it has to do with the ability to ignore all the chaos around you and feel the beautiful weight of what you are participating in. Ashley and Mark did just that on their wedding day and I absolutely loved watching them feel, embrace, cry and laugh all day long. (If I'm sounding too over-the-top, I apologize... it's late.) Their wedding was literally filled with everything that is beautiful about weddings and love and people. Not to mention the INSANE partying that went on at the Henry Clay.

Ashley got ready in the Seelbach suite, which used to be the apartment of Otto Seelbach, owner of the Seelbach Hotel. It was money.

When you run out of champagne glasses, it's totally ok to drink from the bottle.

Krista + Justin | Wedding at the Muhammad Ali Center http://toddpelloweblog.com/louisville-wedding-photographer/index.cfm?postID=226&Krista-Justin-Wedding-at-the-Muhammad-Ali-Center http://toddpelloweblog.com/louisville-wedding-photographer/index.cfm?postID=226&Krista-Justin-Wedding-at-the-Muhammad-Ali-Center Mon, 12 Jul 2010 23:40:00 GMT

I've been looking forward to blogging this wedding ever since the night I shot it. Krista and Justin's wedding was definitely one of my favorites of the year. They had SO MUCH fun all day long. I don't remember if there was ever a moment where somebody wasn't laughing or being downright silly. I must have belly laughed a hundred times. And wait until you see the details that Krista brought together!

Getting Ready: 21C Hotel, Downtown Louisville
Wedding Ceremony: Cathedral of the Assumption
Reception: Muhammad Ali Center
Dress: Vera Wang
Shoes: Valentino
Photographer: (Just checking to see if you're paying attention)

I got to Krista's room at the 21C and the music was pumping. A pre-get-the-wedding-dress-on dance party had begun. I knew it was going to be a good day.

Vera, in all her glory.

Goodness, gracious, great balls of flower.

I got a little crazy at this wedding and positioned myself of the groom's side for once.

Mom (in the green dress) watches on as Justin gives Krista's brother a hug.

Seriously, how hot are these cats?

I couldn't pick which one I like better, so you get both.

DANCE OFF!!!

Elisa + Andy | Virginia Wedding Photography http://toddpelloweblog.com/louisville-wedding-photographer/index.cfm?postID=224&Elisa-Andy-Virginia-Wedding-Photography http://toddpelloweblog.com/louisville-wedding-photographer/index.cfm?postID=224&Elisa-Andy-Virginia-Wedding-Photography Tue, 06 Jul 2010 11:33:00 GMT
Emily was Elisa's maid of honor. Well, technically, she was the matron of honor, but Emily refused to be called matron as she thought it made her sound old. Our two daughters, Avery and Lerran, got to be flower girls. They thoroughly enjoyed twirling and dancing and throwing grass at each other during the ceremony.

Elisa was an absolutely radiant bride. Andy was the perfect groom, hiking up a dirt road to get to the perfect setting for pictures in the sweltering heat. One of the highlights of the wedding for me was to see two sets of incredible parents love and celerate their children. Both Elisa and Andy's parents were so warm and affectionate. It's easy to see how their children turned out so wonderfully.

The wedding was set in the mountains of Virginia at a beautiful historic planation called Pharsalia. It was surrounded by mountains, orchards, barns and vineyards. A wedding photographer's dream. The girls picked their own wedding flowers and Andy built a beautiful arbor for the wedding ceremony.

Hello ladies! (I must say that the fourth one is smoking hot.)

Andy's eyes welled up with wonderful tears as Elisa walked towards him.

Andy's father was his best man.

I am particularly fond of this picture of Avery and Emily dancing with Emily's stud brother Jeremy.

It was a perfect way to see each other.

Carrie gave a remarkable toast to her father before their dance. Her father was in a coma several years ago and when Carrie was visiting him, she took his hand and told him that he had to wake up so that he could walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. At that point, he responded for the first time since the accident. Such a meaningful moment.

Then there was a hilarious rap song written by close friends and rapped live for Carrie and Jon.

Fireflies.
