| Before Saturday, I had been majorly jonesing to shoot a wedding for what seemed like forever. My last wedding was way back in January, which in wedding photographer years is like 5000 years ago. Holly and Cliff's wedding marks the beginning of my wedding season. I looked at my calendar and I've got at least one wedding every weekend this year through Halloween. Y'all better be ready, because over the next six months, I am going to BRING IT. I am so stoked for this year's weddings, I feel like Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson at the beginning of "Wedding Crashers".
Holly and Cliff's wedding was a PERFECT way to start my season. They oozed awesomeness all day long. With Melody, their stellar wedding coordinator, Holly laid out the perfect simple/elegant/green wedding. And Cliff was cool enough to make me try a piece of the groom's cake. It was Bailey's Chocolate in the shape of a golf ball on a green and the flavor was so tasty! Not only that but they had a hilarious wedding party (you know who you are.) and a great day to get married. Sunny, 80 degrees, blue skies... does it get any better? I don't think so. Okay, maybe 70 degrees would have made it a little better. I hope you enjoy the delicious documentary goodness from Holly and Clifton's Lexington wedding. | Occasionally, I'll stick my camera out the window while I'm driving and take a picture of the bride and groom on the way to the reception. Especially when they're riding in a white vintage Bentley. |
