Todd Pellowe's Blog | Louisville Wedding Photographer

Welcome to the new and improved photography blog of Todd Pellowe. I'm a wedding photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. My goal at every wedding I shoot is to tell an authentic story that is as beautiful as it is artistic. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I can post my favorite images from weddings and other shoots. Along with images from weddings and engagement sessions, you're likely to find images of my family (check out the "personal" category to see the latest on the Pellowe family) and other random images from our adventures through life. If you're a prospective client, friend or fellow wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries.
Don't forget to let me know you were here by dropping some blog love in a comments section.

The Great Misadventures of the Pellowe Family |

Jul 12 | Personal
|

| 14 adults, 8 children and one gorgeous house on the beaches of Outer Banks, North Carolina. As you can imagine, the week could generally be described as blissful chaos. The cameras didn't make it out much. (After all, I was on vacation, right?) But we did manage a photo shoot down on the beach. Outfits were coordinated by my super-styling super-stunning wife, Emily. And the pictures that I am in were shot by my good buddy Matt. Thanks Matt! |

It's Saturday morning. In a few hours I'll be heading to Lexington for a wedding at Keeneland. But I wanted to take this opportunity to express something. It has been an amazing week. It started off on Sunday with a Venezuelan wedding downtown. It was a full on love-fest that I can't wait to blog. The next morning I took my four children up to Michigan to watch fireworks on the lake. Originally, Emily (my wife) was going to go too. But she needed a well-deserved break from mommy-ing. So I packed the kids into the Honda Odyssey and headed north. Thank God for DVD players and the entire collection of Toy Story movies. I couldn't have done it without Buzz Lightyear. The week was filled with family, trips to the farmer's market, sand, wave-runners, making rock soup and just about every other thing that you want to remember about being a dad. All five of us slept in the same room and at times I had all three of my daughters in my bed sleeping next to me. While I didn't get that much sleep this week, it was the best poor sleep I've ever had. I think what I'm trying to say is that while being a wedding photographer is great, being a dad is way better.
I shot another amazing wedding last night. This isn't it. This is another amazing wedding I shot in May for Lauren and Brian. |
