Todd Pellowe's Blog | Louisville Wedding Photographer

Welcome to the new and improved photography blog of Todd Pellowe. I'm a wedding photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. My goal at every wedding I shoot is to tell an authentic story that is as beautiful as it is artistic. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I can post my favorite images from weddings and other shoots. Along with images from weddings and engagement sessions, you're likely to find images of my family (check out the "personal" category to see the latest on the Pellowe family) and other random images from our adventures through life. If you're a prospective client, friend or fellow wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries.
Don't forget to let me know you were here by dropping some blog love in a comments section.

Sarah + John | Versailles Engagement Session |

Jul 29 | Engagements
|

| Our session started by getting kicked out of a distillery in Versailles which will remain unnamed. (Their bourbon is so good, I can't tarnish the name... and in their defense, they were having problems with their alarm systems.) After being asked to leave, we hopped in our cars and went hunting for great locations. And when you're in the horse and farm country of Kentucky, it's not that hard to find some dynamite spots to shoot. |

| Now do you believe that Sarah and John are the sweetest, most adorable couple on the planet? |

| Seriously, how much fun are they? |

Julie + Robby | New Harmony Wedding |

Jul 27 | Weddings
|

OK. So Julie and Robby are some of the funniest, craziest people I've ever shot. I seriously bust out laughing whenever I look at these photographs. Their wedding took place in a really funky town called New Harmony, Indiana. It's a small town of less than a thousand people where everybody drives around in golf carts. So fun.
How about those argyles? |

| These buttons took FOREVER! |

| The wedding ceremony was in a beautiful granary with a ton of character. |

Katelyn + Patrick | Lake Michigan Engagement Session |

Jul 21 | Engagements
|

| Last week while I was up in Michigan, I had the opportunity to shoot a session for someone very special to me. Katelyn is my little cousin. It's crazy how beautiful she has become. Pat is a super nice guy and I'm really excited to be shooting their wedding up in Michigan in October. |

| I had to put some PDA on the blog for Uncle Mike! Smoochie, smoochie! |

Ashley + Mark | Wedding Photography at The Henry Clay |

Jul 14 | Weddings
|

There is a term that I hear every once in a while called "living in the moment". I think it has to do with the ability to ignore all the chaos around you and feel the beautiful weight of what you are participating in. Ashley and Mark did just that on their wedding day and I absolutely loved watching them feel, embrace, cry and laugh all day long. (If I'm sounding too over-the-top, I apologize... it's late.) Their wedding was literally filled with everything that is beautiful about weddings and love and people. Not to mention the INSANE partying that went on at the Henry Clay.
Ashley got ready in the Seelbach suite, which used to be the apartment of Otto Seelbach, owner of the Seelbach Hotel. It was money. |

| When you run out of champagne glasses, it's totally ok to drink from the bottle. |

| Note to all brides and grooms... THIS is how you look at your love during your wedding ceremony. |

| This guy makes the blog on account of his ridiculously hip glasses. |

| This groomsmen recognizes he lost his phone during "How low can you go" and proceeds to check his voice mail. |

| This photograph documents the first ever Rain-ahey Train in America until proven otherwise. |

Krista + Justin | Wedding at the Muhammad Ali Center |

Jul 12 | Weddings
|

| If the post processing on this wedding is a little out there, I blame it on the XX's pandora station I've been listening to all night. |

I've been looking forward to blogging this wedding ever since the night I shot it. Krista and Justin's wedding was definitely one of my favorites of the year. They had SO MUCH fun all day long. I don't remember if there was ever a moment where somebody wasn't laughing or being downright silly. I must have belly laughed a hundred times. And wait until you see the details that Krista brought together!
Getting Ready: 21C Hotel, Downtown Louisville
Wedding Ceremony: Cathedral of the Assumption
Reception: Muhammad Ali Center
Dress: Vera Wang
Shoes: Valentino
Photographer: (Just checking to see if you're paying attention)
I got to Krista's room at the 21C and the music was pumping. A pre-get-the-wedding-dress-on dance party had begun. I knew it was going to be a good day. |

| Goodness, gracious, great balls of flower. |

| I got a little crazy at this wedding and positioned myself of the groom's side for once. |

| Mom (in the green dress) watches on as Justin gives Krista's brother a hug. |

| Seriously, how hot are these cats? |

| I couldn't pick which one I like better, so you get both. |
