Welcome to the new and improved photography blog of Todd Pellowe. I'm a wedding photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. My goal at every wedding I shoot is to tell an authentic story that is as beautiful as it is artistic. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I can post my favorite images from weddings and other shoots. Along with images from weddings and engagement sessions, you're likely to find images of my family (check out the "personal" category to see the latest on the Pellowe family) and other random images from our adventures through life. If you're a prospective client, friend or fellow wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries.

Allison + Gregory | Wedding at Drees Pavilion |

Jun 30 | Weddings
|

On the afternoon of June 28, 2006, Allison was bored. She was a little lonely and had always liked taking personality tests. So she decided to pass the time by joining eHarmony. Her very first "match" on the very first day she joined was Gregory. She never looked back. After one month of e-mailing and two months of talking on the phone, Allison and Gregory met in person, spending an October weekend together in Chicago. Truth be told, one of the first plans they made together, during their fourth phone call, was to get married one day.
On November 9, 2007, Gregory successfully executed a surprise proposal. Rising early, he drove from Toronto to West Lafayette, Indiana, where he picked up the engagement ring he had delivered to the local FedEx. Arriving at Allison's apartment building around five o'clock, Gregory spent the next few hours waiting for Allison to wake up from her nap. When she finally woke up, he called her and asked if she'd be up for a surprise visitor. She said yes. Then, when Gregory got down on one knee and asked Allison to marry him, she said yes to that too.
(I totally stole that story from the styling reception program that Allison's mom gave me.)
Wedding Reception: Drees Pavilion, Devou Park
Band: Airwave
Flowers: Ford-Ellington Floral and Event Design
Wedding Planner: Brigid Horne-Nestor of I-Do Weddings

| Allison's honeymoon luggage had a great tag on it. |

| Before the ceremony, Allison was up in the choir loft laughing with friends. |

| Some beautiful details from the reception and invitation. I love me some letterpress! |

| Allison's mom is the sweetest thing ever. She played a big roll in putting all the wedding details together and developed the nickname, "The Diva of Details". |

| I also fell in love with Gregory's parents, who traveled half-way around the world from Hong Kong to be at the wedding. |

| The bright lights in the background are from the Reds vs White Sox game across the river. |

| Oh... and the band was gooood. |

| I was told after the fact that Gregory's parents rarely dance. Which explains why both Gregory and his brother-in-law had to get a picture. |

Jessica + Jason | Sneak Peek |

Jun 30 | Weddings

| Jessica and Jason's wedding this past Saturday is going to be very blog-a-licious. Just saying. |

Angela + Adam | Louisville Wedding at Olmsted |

Jun 28 | Weddings
|

Getting Ready: The Seelbach, Downtown Louisville
Wedding Ceremony: Cathedral of the Assumption
Wedding Reception: The Olmsted
No bride. Bride. |

| I love mom's look here as she first sees Angela in her wedding dress. |

| Angela made Adam this amazing book of all their old letters and cards. |

| Then Adam hooked it up and got her that other wedding band she had been looking at. |

| A check written to Adam exactly 5 years before the wedding day. |

| Hands down coolest thing about this wedding? Adam's Grandfather was the best man. |

| Marty's speech was hilarious. She even threw in a Canon/Nikon joke. I'm happy to say that Canon was well-represented. |

| This is Adam's grandmother and grandfather. They have been married SIXTY-THREE YEARS. I can tell you from personal experience that Ruth is an amazing dancer. Even in her eighties, she's still spinning across the dance floor. Loved it! (Thanks for the dance Ruth!) |

Ashlee + Brennan | Louisville Wedding at Olmsted |

Jun 17 | Weddings
|

| These shoes weren't the only thing to get bedazzled... scroll down, you'll see what I'm talking about. |

| These guys literally had me rolling. Talking about... you know marriage stuff. |

| Dad was just about the sweetest thing ever when he saw Ashlee for the first time. |

| Ashlee's wedding cake makes other cakes tremble in fear. |

| Brennan acted like he was going to pitch the wedding cake into Ashlee's mouth. |

| Catching a garter with a baseball glove? Awesome. |

| The groomsmen were wearing special underwear with their initials bedazzled into them. |

| There is something so wrong with this picture. |

| Grandma's got some moves. |
