Todd Pellowe's Blog | Louisville Wedding Photographer
Welcome to the new and improved photography blog of Todd Pellowe. I'm a wedding photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. My goal at every wedding I shoot is to tell an authentic story that is as beautiful as it is artistic. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I can post my favorite images from weddings and other shoots. Along with images from weddings and engagement sessions, you're likely to find images of my family (check out the "personal" category to see the latest on the Pellowe family) and other random images from our adventures through life. If you're a prospective client, friend or fellow wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries.
Don't forget to let me know you were here by dropping some blog love in a comments section.

I had a great time shooting Cristin and Saul's engagement session at the Falls of the Ohio this past Sunday. I shot Saul's brother's Lexington wedding back in 2006. (Hi Erin and Levi!) The session was during the second half of the Louisville game against Sienna, which was fine with me because the light was absolutely stellar. And with the way Louisville played, I've got another shot at watching them this weekend! Major props to Cristin for walking across the rocks and logs with her heals on. Taking one for the team. Awesome. I can't wait for their Kentucky wedding in January of 2010.
My friend Dave called me last week, asking me if I'd take a few photos of their newborn, Greta. I had just seen Greta in church that week, so I knew how adorable she was. Besides, I've got to get some newborn photography practice before the twins arrive. Yesterday, Greta came over for some fun in front of the camera. While this isn't my normal subject, I figured y'all wouldn't mind, right?
If you haven't heard about Southern Weddings Magazine yet, it's the latest up and coming blog and magazine. The idea is simple enough. Instead of filling their magazines full of advertising and filler, they load up their pages with gobs and gobs of pure wedding goodness. Real weddings, great details and best of all (in my very humble opinion, of course) incredible wedding photography. I am honored to have some of my images in their very first issue. Todd Pellowe is bringing Kentucky wedding photography to the national scene, woot woot! Lara Casey, the editor or Southern Weddings, is a super-friendly, inspirational person. It just so happens that she has fallen in love with Tori and Patrick's wedding. So much so that she put their shoe shot on her publisher's letter. Here are a few images from the magazine itself.
And here are a few additional images from Tori's wedding.
I would much rather shoot a wedding with a million wonderful moments than a wedding with a million wonderful details. Fortunately for me, Scott and Audrey's Lexington wedding had both. When I heard that the knot had published their wedding, I went back to the slideshow I made for them and thought, "That was a great wedding... why isn't this slideshow on the new blog?" I couldn't think of a good answer to my question, so here it is. (To watch the show, just hit that little play button in the lower left-hand corner below.) Enjoy!
