So I know I keep sounding like a broken record, but I absolutely loved shooting this next wedding. Lee and Tricia have been good great friends of ours for the past 2 years. We all first met at Fellowship Church (BTW, Fellowship is an amazing group of the most down-to-earth people I've ever met... if you would like to learn more about God, I'd really encourage you to check it out. /shameless plug) Lee and I have had countless conversations about life, love and being a man. It's so incredible to see how God is working in his life. And Tricia. She is a true beauty. Her heart is so big and her smile is so bright. Wait until you see the part of the slideshow where they exchanged gifts... you'll see what I mean.
Emily and I were so excited when Tricia asked Avery, our four-year-old daughter, to be a flower girl in the wedding. At first Avery said no. But only because she wanted to be the bride. Once we explained to her how she got to wear a white dress and walk down the aisle, she accepted the invitation. It's safe to say that this made Avery's year. And she made the slideshow a few times, so check her out!
The last thing I'll mention before the slideshow is that shooting a wedding like this for such close friends has given me a greater appreciation for weddings. I got to see friends that I hadn't seen in years and meet people that came from incredible distances to support and celebrate with Lee and Tricia. I got to hear the voice of a man commit to love his girl for the rest of his life. What an honor it is to photograph such a day. Alright, I promise I'll stop blabbering. Here are the photographs.
I look forward to all of my weddings. But I have been looking forward to Ashley's especially. Ashley introduced herself to me a long time ago saying, "Whenever I get married, you are shooting my wedding." Her mom confirmed this when she told me that there were two things Ashley wanted for her wedding: cheeseburgers and Todd Pellowe. Ashley's been in and at a number of my weddings and has been a huge advocate of my work. Her wedding at Gingerwoods was no letdown. It was filled with laughs, kisses, details and kids. There were cute little kids running around everywhere.
