Todd Pellowe's Blog | Louisville Wedding Photographer

Welcome to the new and improved photography blog of Todd Pellowe. I'm a wedding photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. My goal at every wedding I shoot is to tell an authentic story that is as beautiful as it is artistic. This blog serves as a creative outlet where I can post my favorite images from weddings and other shoots. Along with images from weddings and engagement sessions, you're likely to find images of my family (check out the "personal" category to see the latest on the Pellowe family) and other random images from our adventures through life. If you're a prospective client, friend or fellow wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy looking through the galleries.
Don't forget to let me know you were here by dropping some blog love in a comments section.

| All of you Louisville Cardinal fans are going to recognize this next couple. Before there was Teddy Bridgewater, there was a stud quarterback named Brian Brohm leading the Cards. He led Louisville to its first ever BCS victory in 2007. But perhaps his most significant victory is winning the heart of Ashley. She is as sweet as she is beautiful. Before they ship out to Ontario for a position with a CFL team, we got together for their engagement session. |

Erica + Will | Locust Grove |

May 9 | Weddings
|

I have to warn you. I have a soft spot for weddings exactly like this one.
Erica and Will had a wonderfully emotion-filled wedding at the height of spring. (Gorgeous outdoor wedding in April at Locust Grove? Yes, please!) As I shot the wedding, I was drawn to the many similarities between the spring and a wedding. As spring brings life, music, beauty and glory to the Creator (if I may respectfully add a dose of theology), so does a wedding. |

| How gorgeous is this bride? |

| Reason number 92 for why you see each other beforehand... moments like this. |

| Erica gave Will a key chain with a penny from the year they met and a penny from this year. |

| I couldn't pick my favorite from the walk down the aisle, so you get three. |

| During this dance, I heard Erica's grandfather say to her through his tears, "So much joy." Indeed. |

| Erica's sister, Suzanne, sang a beautiful and hip version of "You are the sunshine of my life." It was perfect. |

| Every once in a while, something remarkable takes the breath right out of you. I have so much more to share from this wedding. For now, this will have to do. |

Jayme + John | Harmony Landing Country Club |

Apr 18 | Weddings
|

| This wedding has a special place in my heart. It happened six months ago and I can still remember so many wonderful things that were said and emotions that were felt. Jayme and John are truly unique people and I love how they "weddinged". Tons of goofiness and laughter. One of the things that stood out to me was how much time they spent together during the reception. (Seriously, every time a bride and groom hardly see each other at a reception, a kitten dies.) There were several times during the night where the two of them just got away from it all and took a walk together under the light filled trees. Magic. |

| This one goes out to all those church ladies out there. |

| I have no idea what is going on in some of these. |

| I love Jayme's dad. He's a heart on the sleeve kind of guy. |

| This guy took photo-bombing to an entirely new level. |

| Virtual jump rope is always blog-worthy. |
